From CNT we call on all groups to participate in the day of mobilizations on November 19 in support of the trade unionists of CNT-Gijón.
Doing unionism is not a crime, but for the owner of the bakery, for Judge Rubio, for the Provincial Court of Asturias, it is.
If this conviction goes ahead, it may set precedents:
Three and a half years for asking to meet with a businessman and hold a banner and do not think about reporting harassment: That is the message they want to send us all.
Rights on paper are useless, legislation on freedom of association or equality is useless, and the executive is useless if elements of the judiciary succeed in curtailing them.
Here’s something else. Here is a pre-police and judicial action and a post-action. It is no coincidence that this case fell into the hands of the judge who convicted the protagonists of “Mondays in the Sun” and that, after the pardon received, which included his prison sentence and the fine, he still insisted on demanding it and seizing them.
The entire rule of law is in the hands of gentlemen like Rubio Mayo.
This is their justice, to the working class, before any action, (holding banners, distributing leaflets) sticks, fines and imprisonment; The employers, who do what they want, will justify it in any way and the victim will become guilty.
For this reason, go, convene, do not miss the day of mobilizations of November 19.
Places and times of all the mobilizations that are called will be updated. Report yours in comunicacion@cnt.es and we will add it with the rest.
