While the media of the state bourgeoisie misinforms, once again the working people are paying for the party.
On Wednesday, January 24, FORA participates in the general strike and the massive march that will take place in Buenos Aires. We are grateful for the participation in the different calls that will also take place in different cities around the world (Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Rome, New York). This January 24, we, the workers, are stopping and taking to the streets, in the framework of a national strike, the first strike in several years in a complex situation and with irreversible damages that have been deteriorating our quality of life. The package of reforms proposed by the DNU and the omnibus law shows the place that the current government intends the different social sectors to occupy, in order to achieve greater market freedom, for the benefit of the business caste, which intends to expand its horizons and profits at the cost of intensifying labour exploitation and the loss of our purchasing power. Increasing the oppression and repression of those who work and organise to defend what we, the working class, have been supporting in recent times. Therefore, the defence of social rights for economic, political and cultural welfare is only in the hands of the exploited, of the workers, and our arena of struggle in defence and to stop what they want to impose on us are the streets, the jobs and their organisation.
The state does not grant anything, the working class wins its flags, and the working class, fighting together and resisting, retains those social flags, the struggle for those rights are an exercise to achieve an emancipation from this economic reality. Milei, the current president is the example of the most grotesque and rancid bourgeois desire to realise a headless gendarme state, but with sticks and guns. In reality, there has never been a paradigm shift between previous governments and the current one, leading us to a society with a very high percentage of poverty. The government intends to criminalise protest so that there will be minimal resistance in its process of social disciplining. This is the moment where we urgently need to rebuild workers’ organisations in which we can make decisions to fight against all the imposed evils, and carry out a transformation towards new horizons that determine a more just life. We ask for dissemination in networks with the slogan “no to the DNU and anti-worker laws in Argentina” and some slogan appealing to international solidarity, accompanied by the hashtag #ABAJOELDNU, #ABAJOLEYOMNIBUS, #QUESEVAYANTODXS.
More detailed information in relation to the national emergency decree and the omnibus law is available in our newspaper “Organizacion Obrera” https://organizacion-obrera.fora.com.ar/ We would be grateful if you could send us the images or links of publications to our email so that we can replicate them, so that the comrades here know that solidarity was manifested somewhere in the anarcho-syndical world.
WORKERS, TAKE TO THE STREETS! NO DNU, NO ANTI-WORKER LAWS! GENERAL STRIKE UNTIL THEY ARE ALL GONE!
